Interview Skills

Most people hate job interviews!  It’s like being naked in front of a crowd and you never know if they are happy or mortified at your expense.

It’s terrifying, especially if you haven’t interviewed for at least 5 or more years.  Much has changed.  Not only due to Covid, but because employers have a lot more techniques that they use to rule out candidates.

Years ago, they were focused on your skills, what you’ve learned.  Now they’re focused on what you achieved, what is your potential, how you work with others.  What are your communication skills like?  How well do you know yourself and your limitations?

Because employer requirements have increased, employers are becoming much more savvy in the recruitment of candidates.

So you need to know the right things to say, and what not to say.  In fact, maybe you need Robin’s help to explain why you’ve had a career gap or why you left your previous employer.  You can’t afford to get this wrong!

You might need help in how to nail the “Tell me about yourself” response or what are your salary requirements.

You need help articulating your behavioural examples from your past jobs – practicing your responses so that they’re not too long-winded or you forget to share the end result of the story.

Robin teaches you how to talk about yourself with confidence and authenticity.  Many Aussies fear the ‘tall poppy syndrome’ and Robin helps you overcome this.

And Robin will give you some fantastic tips and great questions you can ask the employer that will leave the BEST impression.
